Transfer Orientation FAQs

When is Transfer Orientation?

Transfer Orientation will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 for Spring 2013 applicants                   and Friday, July 12, 2013 or Monday, August 19, 2013 for Fall 2013 applicants.                                              CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION FORM for Spring 2013 applicants.

Will I be getting anything in the mail?

All transfer students who have been officially accepted Morgan State University should receive a letter regarding Transfer Orientation with their acceptance literature.  Feel free also to check Websis for a preliminary evaluation of your transfer credits.

May I bring family members or other guests with me to Transfer Orientation?

Yes, we hope you will.  Please consider, however, that Transfer Orientation is a day-long event and may be difficult for children and older guests.

Do I need to register in advance for Transfer Orientation?

Yes, please call the Transfer Center at 443-885-3711 or email transferctr@morgan.edu to confirm your attendance.  You may also download the registration form and fax or mail it to our office.  The fax number is 443-885-8381.

Will I be advised during Transfer Orientation?

Yes!  Registration will open for transfer students only on one of the two scheduled orientation dates.  After you have attended the opening session, you will be dismissed to meet with your major advisor after which you may register for classes.

What will I do at Transfer Orientation?

Transfer Orientation will provide you with an opportunity to learn about the services and resources available at Morgan State University, meet your department advisors, tour the campus, and complete university business such as getting a parking pass and student id.
