Accommodations
Office of Residence Life & Housing offers a variety of residence hall room types, building sizes and levels of bathroom privacy. However, the majority of available rooms will include the use of traditional community bathrooms, where all of the guests on a wing or a floor share a large centralized bathroom. A limited number of suite-style rooms with semi-private bathrooms will also be available.
Some residence halls are reserved for enrolled MSU students, or are undergoing renovations, and will not be available for summer 2012.
Camp and conference sponsors are encouraged to explore our Residence Halls page to see photos and gather more information about our residence halls. Here you will find floor plans and amenity information for each hall.
Please note that gender designations in our halls will differ from assignments during the academic year. Hall and room assignments will be based upon the requests we receive; therefore, what may be an all female hall may be mixed gender during the summer. Our goal is to assign genders separated by floor or hall, and to keep camps with minors in separate halls from adult conference attendees. Please let us know if you have special requests so that we can make assignments appropriate to your camp.
Rates The rates below are from the 2012 conference season. All rates are per guest per night. Double Occupancy Single Occupancy Rate without Linen $23.00 $46.00 Rate with Linen A linen package that includes a pillow, pillowcase, blanket, two flat sheets, two bath towels, a hand towel and a face towel is available for an additional ten dollars and fifty cents ($10.50) per guest per night. $33.50 $56.50 Groups who provide a Sales & Use Tax Certificate of Exemption will be exempt from sales tax. All others may be subject for to sales tax.
All camps, conferences and events sponsored by individuals or organizations not funded by Morgan State University or the State of Maryland will be required to present a Certificate of Liability Insurance designating the following as CERTIFICATE HOLDERS:“The State of Maryland”, “The Board of Regents of the University System of Maryland”, and “Morgan State University.”
A minimum of $1,000,000 per individual and $3,000,000 per incident for Property Damage and Personal Injury is required. The Certificate of Liability Insurance must be received by The Office of Residence Life & Housing in order to finalize reservations and to meet with our staff to plan a camp or conference stay in the residence halls.
