Room Furnishing

Most residence hall rooms are furnished with the following for each resident:

• a bed with a mattress and box spring where required
• a desk and chair for study
• a dresser
• wardrobe or closet for clothing and storage.

The university will also provide each resident's room with a window shade or blinds, window screen, and a smoke detector.

FIRE PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
Fire alarms and fire extinguishers are located on every floor in each building. Familiarize yourself with their locations. Tampering with this equipment is a serious matter that could jeopardize the safety of a number of people. Each student room is equipped with a smoke detector which operates independently from the main fire alarm system. The detector is for your safety; do not tamper with it. If there are problems associated with your smoke detector, please contact your RA or RD.
