Department: Athletics
Duties: Responsible for assisting the Head Coach and the Offensive Coordinator in conducting an intercollegiate football program; assists in monitoring the academic progress and pursuits of student-athletes; assists in conducting practice; assists in the pre-season and off-season conditioning program; assists in the development of techniques and skills of the offensive lineman; develops the offensive kicking game; conducts meetings with student athletes and staff personnel; provides guidance and strategy to staff and student-athletes; assists in the development and implementation of the offensive game plan; recommends to the offensive coordinator offensive plays for use during games; interprets and communicates to staff and student athletes the opponent's defensive scheme; assists in conducting home and away contests; accompanies student-athletes and related personnel to away contests; assists in conducting camps and clinics; organizes a high school coach clinic; assists in planning and development of football camps; assists with administrative tasks; assumes the head football coaching duties in the absence of the Head Coach; assists in the planning for team travel; assists the Sports Information Director with game day activities, as requested; assists in developing an Offensive and a Spring Practice playbook; assists in developing and maintaining an offensive depth chart; interprets game film, and performs other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, experience coaching on a NCAA Division I level football program.
Requirements: Knowledge of NCAA Division I football; knowledge of departmental, university, MEAC and NCAA rules and regulations; ability to work with students and possess strong interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
