Department: Financial Aid

Duties: Facilitates the efficient processing of loan funds to ensure that the student receives their funding in an timely manner; ensures quality customer  service and delivery of student aid to perspective and current students via telephone or in person; assures compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines; performs routine electronic processes for all loan programs; troubleshoots and resolves student loan issues; assists with the completion of regular reconciliation of the loan program; processes reports  to assist in the evaluation of loan operations; works closely with other campus offices and outside constituencies to resolve discrepancies; assists with preparation of various alternative loans as needed; assists with various office reports related to loan programs; remains current with knowledge and use of financial aid software; performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.  Two years of office experience, which includes the production of documents using automated equipment and software.

RequirementsPrior financial aid or loan processing experience preferred, knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment; knowledge of business English; excellent communication and customer service skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; skill in operating manual and automated office equipment; skill in maintaining clerical records; ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times; ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to interact with the public, employees, and students in a courteous and professional manner at all times; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with only general instructions;  ability to create and work in spreadsheets.
