Department: Financial Aid

Duties: Assists Financial Aid Advisors, students, parents to meet timely deadlines; ensures that all parties students, parents, staff, agencies to promote Morgan's mission; screens materials required for the completeness and accurateness; maintains files as assigned; updating office records on a daily basis; constant communication with students, parents, and University officials concerning Financial Aid status-awards, adjustments, cancellations, etc.; schedules appointments for Financial Aid Advisors; provides personal attention to student and parent situations; supervises student workers as assigned; and performs other duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diplomas or GED; Two years experience performing clerical work.

RequirementsKnowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment; of grammar, spelling and punctuation; skill in preparing reports; skill in operating manual and automated office equipment; skill in performing mathematical computations; skill in performing routine clerical tasks; skill in filing documents according to alphabetic and numeric sequences; ability to plan and independently perform specialized clerical tasks; ability to understand and interpret department policies and procedures; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships; ability to operate personal computers and assigned word processing and spreadsheet software.
