Department: Financial Aid
Duties: Manages the community service component in the Work Study Office by locating and developing jobs within the community; ensures that the 7% community service quota is met so that the Federal Work Study Program meets the guidelines specified by the Federal Government; locates and develops jobs both on and off campus; assists with determining student eligibility for Federal Work Study; coordinates materials for the signing of student employment contracts, both on and off campus, assists with the processing of student timesheets; implements plans for continuous staff development; provides leadership by encouraging excellence in office administration and management; attends institutional meetings; assists in audit reconciliation of earnings by students; and performing other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field. One year of relevant work experience; in a collegiate environment, performing student related duties such as work study administration, job placement, financial aid, or counseling.
Requirements: Skill in coordinating work with other departments of the university; ability to communicate effectively; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to operate a computer; ability to provide advice and guidance; ability to supervise.
