Department: Earl S. Richardson Library
Duties: Provides exemplary instruction and leads the Librarian Team for all digital initiatives; implements a number of digital projects related to Reference Service Delivery, user experience, and outreach initiatives; creates, implements, and interweaves innovative digital applications and links their success with University and Library overall goals; teaches a prescribed number of library instruction sessions; provides on campus and virtual "online assistive tools" provides in-person and online chat references; implements new library technologies, and leading digital tools; conducts surveys, blogs, online sites, and technical journeys to determine digital tool needs; works with the Reference/Information Literacy Team in developing key library initiatives; works collaboratively with Library IT development infrastructure for dissemination of new library technologies; interacts with students and faculty; provides general library instructions; works with Library Information Technology to develop infrastructure for new library technologies; assists patrons with reference queries; provides monthly Emerging Digital Technologies (EDT) talks; develops Cyber Shed and shed hours for patrons, performs other duties, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Masters Degree, ALA-accredited; two years experience with current digital library technologies, standards, and practices.
