Print Shop -- Printing Agreement
Condition of Copy
Upon receipt of the copy, should it be evident that the copy differs from what was originally discussed and quoted, the original shall be rendered void and a new quotation issued.
Mechanical art, negatives, flats, plates and other items when supplied by the Print Shop shall remain our exclusive property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Pre-press proofs (blue lines) will be provided upon request. A Proof Review Form will accompany the proof and must be picked up, reviewed and returned within twenty four (24) hours in order for printing requests to be completed on schedule. If corrections are made and revised proofs are desired, request must be made when proofs are returned. The Print Shop cannot be held responsible for errors under the following conditions: If the work is printed per customer's OK; if changes are communicated verbally; or if customer has instructed the Print Shop to proceed without returning proofs.
Because of difference in equipment, processing, proofing, paper, inks, pigment and other conditions between color proofing and production operations, a reasonable variation in color between color proof and the completed job shall constitute acceptable delivery.
Production schedules will be established and adhered to by the Print Shop and the customer provided that neither shall incur delays due to fire, accidents, energy failure, equipment breakdown, supplier delays, action of Government, acts of God or other causes beyond the control of the Print Shop or customer.
Payment shall be whatever was set forth in the quotation. Claims for defects, damages or shortages must be made in person within ten (10) days after delivery of order. Failure to make such claims within the stated period shall constitute acceptance.
