CONNECT Program
If you have applied to Morgan State University but were not admissible based on your high school GPA and standardized test scores, there is a viable alternative designed just for you! Your present academic record may not be a true indication of your ability or potential. That’s where the Morgan State University Connect Program comes in!
As a Connect student, you will begin your college career at any Maryland community college, enrolling in courses you will later transfer to Morgan*. We will even help design your program of study and monitor your progress to keep you on track. While you are attending the community college, you will enjoy most of the privileges that other Morganites have (e.g., use of the new library, tutoring, access to all social and sporting events, concerts, and more). After completing 12 to 24 transferable credits (based on your cumulative high school G.P.A.) with a community college grade-point average of at least 2.0, you will transfer to Morgan State University and continue your studies as a student in good standing.
Stay on course, and keep Morgan in your future. Contact Ms. Tiffani Showell-Logan, Program Coordinator and Community College Liaison for more information at 443-885-3985 or e-mail Tiffani.Logan@morgan.edu.
*Developmental courses are not transferrable.
NEXUS Program (Network for Excellence and Undergraduate Success)
Grade point average and standardized test scores do not always provide a complete or accurate measurement of a student's potential for success. Morgan State University (MSU) and the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) are aware that while standard assessment tools are strong indicators of academic potential, test scores are not always indicative of a student's ability to successfully earn a degree. NEXUS provides an alternative for students with drive and potential by providing access to two outstanding schools. Resources, strong academics, and solid support systems from both institutions along with YOUR determination will ensure YOUR opportunity to meet and exceed the University's admission requirements. The NEXUS PROGRAM (Network for Excellence and Undergraduate Success) ensures that all students are provided with access to a quality college education. Nexus program participants, while officially CCBC students, begin their academic journey on Morgan State University grounds, and once transferred will remain on the MSU campus. The word "NEXUS" means center, connection, core, link, network, tie, union, bond. Being a NEXUS student denotes that two schools have bonded to provide a network of services and opportunities from which each participant SHALL benefit and SHALL succeed. Participation in the program is by exclusive invitation only. Contact Ms. Tiffani Showell-Logan, Program Coordinator and Community College Liaison for more information at 443-885-3985 or e-mail Tiffani.Logan@morgan.edu.
