Morgan is not only "military friendly" (meaning we actively seek out and encourage veterans to apply), but we also want to build our reputation as a place where veterans and their academic and social needs are taken care of. As part of our on-going initiatives to provide a well rounded benefit for veteran students, our future goals are to develop an on-campus veterans club, create an environment of sensitivity andunderstanding of veterans needs and publicize veterans resources.
Some of the endeavors that we have currently implemented specifically for veteran students on campus include:
Veterans Orientation Day
Including tours of all relevant campus services
Veterans Priority Registration
Designed to give veteran students the opportunity to organize their programs curriculum to ensure that they are on track and graduate on time
Military Appreciation Day
Designed to acknowledge all student veterans and their family members for their services to the nation and community.
Identify funding and administer scholarship program for disabled veterans and their families
Town Hall Meetings
Specifically for student veterans and their family members; to notify veterans twice a semester of important University information
Distance Learning/Distance Education
