Instructions to Complete the Undergradute Application
Greetings
from the Morgan State University Office of Undergraduate Admission and
Recruitment! We are excited that you have chosen to include Morgan in
your college search.
Beyond what
can be learned about Morgan from reviewing the overall web site, we invite
you to explore the following admission pages in order to better understand
what makes the application and college selection process unique here at
Morgan State University. From our general online advice about the process,
along with a subsequent opportunity to visit our campus, it is our goal
to assist you in every way as you begin your exciting and, at times, daunting
college search.
At Morgan
State University, our staff realizes that students will embark on an educational
journey that begins with the all-important college admission process.
It is, therefore, our intent to provide you with a clear sense of how
your application will be reviewed, which should take some of the mystery
out of the process. Furthermore, not only is it our goal to carefully
select students whom we feel are a good fit for the University, but it
is also our hope that we will be able to provide you with enough information
to assist you in determining whether Morgan State University would be
a good fit for you.
Our staff
is always available to answer your questions and assist in guiding you
through this very important search process. And, in doing so, we hope
that you may find that Morgan State University is the place for you!
In order
to complete the admission process successfully, you will need to perform
the following tasks:
1.
Read the "Student Type" Section
#1 below and decide which category best describes your specific
status.
2.
After deciding which Student Type category best fits your status, click
on the "Morgan State University On-line Undergraduate Application"
link located in Section #2 below to take you to
the actual undergraduate application.
3.
Once you have completed the on-line application, you will be directed
to a final "Application Agreement" page that will require
personal information and student and parental signatures, and will indicate where to submit the completed
document.
Section
#1 Student
Types.

First-Time
College Applicants: A student who has not attended a post-secondary
institution prior to graduating from high school must submit an official
high school transcript and SAT/ACT scores.

Transfer
Applicants: Transfer applicants for admission with 24 or more
transferable credits are required to have official transcripts from
all colleges attended sent to the Office of Admission and Recruitment.
Transcripts will be forwarded to the Dean of the respective college
or school for a course-by-course evaluation. Applicants with fewer than
24 transferable credits must also submit high school transcript(s).
Fewer than 12 transferable credits require SAT/ACT scores as well.

International
Applicants : International applicants must provide certified
CSC, CXC, GCE, WAEC, EAEC, HAVO, HBS,VWO, AMS Diploma and Final Secondary
Records, and university transcript. The test of English as a foreign
language (TOEFL) may also be requested to complete the assessment of
your admission. International Transfer Applicants must have their official
transcript evaluated by the World Education Services (WES). You may

Special Non-Degree:
A non-matriculating student who wishes to pursue courses for professional
advancement or personal reasons. Applicants must submit official high
school or college transcript or permission letter from their current
institution.
