PROCEDURES FOR THE RECIPROCAL TUITION WAIVER PROGRAM WITH THE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM OF MARYLAND AND ST. MARY'S COLLEGE

Morgan State University Employees Attending the University System of Maryland (USM) Schools and St. Mary's College:

Morgan employees should obtain the Morgan State University Tuition Waiver Application form and the reciprocating institution's Tuition Remission Application form from the Office of Human Resources, located in Carter-Grant-Wilson - Room 100. Upon completion, including all required approvals, the forms must be returned to the Office of Human Resources for processing. The information will be reviewed to determine the qualifying benefits, in conformance with the Tuition Waiver Policy.

The completed application forms should be submitted to Morgan's Office of Human Resources at the time of scheduled registration (not late registration) to provide time for processing so that the resulting credit(s) can be applied by the Bursar prior to the payment deadline.

Morgan's Office of Human Resources will review, certify and mail approved applications to the Office of Human Resources of the reciprocating institution or give the employee certified copies of the applications in a sealed and stamped envelope for hand delivery.

Upon receipt of the approved application forms, the reciprocating institution's Office of Human Resources will review, specify benefits and forward the forms to their Bursar's Office for the appropriate account credit.

If the student submits the application forms late, the total bill must be paid to finalize registration. A credit will be processed to the student's account, once certified copies of the application forms are received by USM or St. Mary's Bursar's Office via their Office of Human Resources.

Fees are to be paid by the student.

Check with the desired institution of attendance to determine the latest submission date to qualify for tuition remission benefits and the semesters that the benefits can be applied toward.
