Community College Bridge Grant
NOTE: These scholarships will expire at the conclusion of the Spring 2016 semester.
As an incoming Community College Bridge Grant recipient, you are required to adhere to the following:
- Maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative community college grade point average (GPA) thru graduation and submit a final community college transcript verifying your final GPA to the Office of Admission and the University Honors Program. The Office of Admissions and the University Honors Program must receive your final high school transcripts prior to the first day of classes.
- File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), if you are a US citizen or permanent resident. The FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) must be received before scholarship funds are awarded.
- As a matriculating Community College Bridge Grant recipient, you are required to adhere to the following:
- Submit an updated record containing your contact information (SSN; name; permanent address; local or campus address; phone number(s); regularly checked e-mail address) each semester within 10 days of the first day of classes .
- Meet with and receive written approval from your designated academic advisor, major department chairperson, academic dean, or other officially designated person prior to registering for, adding, or dropping any course.
- Register for and maintain a credit load of at least fifteen (15) credit hours during each academic semester.
- Earn Honors-level passing grades (A, B, C, WP, or PS) in ALL courses.
- Earn a semester GPA of at least 2.5 and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
- Attend all designated Honors seminars, convocations, and colloquia unless the Honors Program Director or his/her designee grants special permission.
- File a FAFSA renewal application each year by March 1 of the spring semester, if you are a US citizen or permanent resident.
