Her Excellency Tebelelo Mazile Seretse

Ambassador of the Republic of Botswana

The Center for Continuing and Professional Studies would like to recognize Her Excellency Tebelelo Mazile Seretse, Ambassador of the Republic of Botswana, for all of her accomplishments.  The Ambassador visited the campus and met Morgan State University President David Wilson.
She also took time out of her busy schedule to visit the Center for Continuing and Professional Studies, to meet Dr. Willie A. Bragg, Continuing Studies staff, and graduate students.  She shared fond memories and experiences with Ms. Louise Flamer and reminisced about her four years as a work study student in Continuing Studies--the mentoring, caring and support she received as an undergraduate student.  From office gatherings to holiday celebrations, Ambassador Seretse was always made to feel at home in Continuing Studies. Having attended Morgan State University, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Ambassador Sereste credits Morgan for providing the necessary foundation that would prepare her for future endeavors. She worked in private industry for 11 years and later served as a Member of Parliament and Cabinet under the former President of Botswana, Festus G. Mogae, from 1999 to 2004.The significance of Ambassador Seretse's experiences after Morgan State is but a reflection of the educational opportunities provided during her tenure at the University. On December 1, 2011, Ambassador Seretse honored her alma mater by serving as the keynote speaker at the 2011 Bill of Rights/TransAfrica Day Convocation.  Her vision is to establish a partnership between Morgan and the Republic of Botswana.
