The Morgan State
University Head Start Program was established in 1979 and sponsored jointly
by the Department of Housing and Community Development and Morgan State
University's School of Education and Urban Studies. Morgan's Head Start
Program serves 224 children and families and is located in the northeast
section of Baltimore City. The program is currently housed in, Walter P.
Carter Elementary School, Walter P. Carter Recreation Center, and Govans
Elementary School.
One of the
goals of the Head Start Program is to help our children and families make
a smooth transition into the public school system. The Morgan State University
Head Start Program is proud of the many accomplishments of our parents
and children. We encourage anyone interested in volunteering their services
to our children and families to contact our program at 410-464-3265.
Together we can
make an impact on the lives of our children.
