-Engineering Fair
The Fair was held on March 21-22, 1997 at the Hill Field House of Morgan State University. Three hundred fifteen (100 more than 1996) were registered.
Individual student projects, grades 6-12, were judged in the categories of Physical Science, Biological Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Engineering both at the junior and senior levels.
The top two winners, Lorna Nielsen and Amanda Shaw, received an all expenses paid trip to the International Science Fair to be held in Louisville, KY.

Dr. Joseph
Antenson Retires
On June 1, 1997, Dr. Joseph E. Antenson, Assistant Director for the Baltimore USI retired. He was with the Baltimore City School system for 27 years.
