Mrs. Sharon Whitehurst

Budget Officer

Mrs. Whitehurst earned her Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Howard University, in 1992. She comes to us from one of the biggest nationally and internationally known CPA firms, Ernest & Young, LLP, where she audited non-profit organizations. She has had over 11 years of experience in the accounting and budget field. She comes to the division of Academic Affairs from the SCMNS where she monitored the budgets for the Biology, Chemistry Department, Physics and the Mathematics Departments, the Medical Technology Program and the Dean’s Office totaling over $6.2 million, as well as over 25 active grants whose budgets totaled over $8.4 million.
