The preparation of undergraduate and graduate students relies on education, applied research, and community and professional service activities in an urban environment. The programs of the School of Education and Urban Studies will provide quality teaching, research, and service to:
- Meet the needs of a culturally diverse and multicultural population in an urban setting;
- Provide knowledge, values and skills for undergraduate and graduate students;
- Prepare professionals and change agents to improve the quality of life of urban populations; and
- Plan policies and programs that respond to societal problems.
