Research Interests:

Dr. Tang's research interests focus on the stock reaction to dividend savings, the effects of earnings performance and stock returns on layoff decisions, the intra-industry effects of layoff announcements, and the financial environment of layoffs. He has published in academic journals such as Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management, and the American Business Review. Other recent projects include pending publications on the impact of political risk event on foreign joint ventures, the impact of intrastate deregulation on trucking firms, and the effect of financing on a firm's performance.
