Research
Interests:
Dr. Sun's research interests focus
on the effects of earnings performance and stock returns on layoff decisions,
insider trading ethics, the intra-industry effects of layoff announcements,
and the financial environment of layoffs. She has published in academic
journals such as Financial Management, Journal of Business
Ethics, and the American Business Review. Other recent projects
include pending publications on the sources of railroad merger gains
and the effect of financing on a firm's performance.
