Interests:
Dr. Pratt's main research interest
is sustainable tourism development that covers the scope of economic,
socio-cultural, and environmental situations. To date, his main area
of concentration has been the Caribbean area. He collaborates with the
Caribbean Tourism Organization for research projects dealing with sustainable
development and annual conferences. Dr. Pratt is the author of Chapter
21 of the book entitled Tourism & Hospitality Education &
Training in the Caribbean, which is "Sustainable Tourism Development
in the Caribbean: The Role of Education". He is also the author
of Chapter 17 of the textbook entitled Caribbean Tourism: Visions,
Missions, and Challenges, which is "Toursism Development and
Marketing: Case Studies from the Bahamas, Belize, and the U.S. Virgin
Islands.
