Academic Reconnection Awards

Because students success is critical with the SEP, the office of Student Enrichment request nominations each semester of students who go the extra mile to obtain academic success. The semester recipients will receive one of three awards. The awards are:

• Deans Excellence Award
• Student of the Semester
• Student Enrichment Award
• Dr. Burney J. Hollis Educator of the Year Award

Each semester the counselors of the SEP will review academic status of students in the College of Liberal Arts to determine awards recipients. The recipients of the awards will receive plaques of appreciation for academic success and a token of appreciation from the Office of the Student Enrichment Program.

The Retention Connection Award is the Student Enrichment Programs way of saying thank you to those students who take their role very seriously and positively impact on their academic success.

Each year the staff of the Student Enrichment Program will select a Faculty of the Year award for continued dedication to helping students find collegiate and/ or personal success. The honorees will receive a name plate on the Dr. Burney J. Hollis Jr. Educator of the Year award.
