Science Complex
The University’s new science facility consists of four older buildings that recently have been completely renovated and are now joined into a single complex. It is located near the academic center of campus. The front of the complex is Carnegie Hall, the oldest building on campus, which was completed in 1919. It was built with stone quarried on the campus grounds. It is named after Andrew Carnegie, who gave the University funding for its construction. Another part of the complex is Spencer Hall, named after the fourth president of the University, Dr. John Oakley Spencer. Calloway Hall, a third part of the complex, recognizes Milton C. Calloway, a University faculty member known as the “Father of Science” at Morgan. The other portion of the complex is Key Hall, named after Charles C. Key, who served as Dean of Men at Morgan. |
