Holmes
Hall
Holmes Hall is located at the academic center of campus and is the University’s
best known architecural landmark. Originally built in 1949, it has recently
been renovated and is now a state-of-the art classroom and office building.
Holmes Hall is named after Dwight O. W. Holmes, Morgan’s fifth president
and the first African-American to hold that position. During Holmes’ Presidency,
Morgan made the transition from a private to a public institution.
