Summer Transportation Institute



The Summer Transportation Institute (STI) is a free program designed to encourage high school students to pursue careers in transportation.
Held on Morgan's campus, STI offers a full curriculum and hands-on learning experience that includes special projects, field trips, and discussions with industry professionals.
In addition to encouraging students to think about transportation careers, STI includes a financial planning workshop, daily SAT prep, and writing assignments.
At the end of the program, students' achievements are honored with an awards banquet. Each participant also receives a $250 stipend.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- completed 9th or 10th grade at the end of the current school year,
- at least a 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), and
- successfully completed at least one course in algebra.
