Kathryn  Doherty

Assistant Vice President

 

Dr. Kathryn P. Doherty is Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs. Dr. Doherty holds an A.B. degree from Smith College, and an MBA and an Ed.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has authored handbooks and given numerous presentations and workshops on assessment, evaluation, and organizational development. Her professional activities include Middle States Commission on Higher Education Examiner; team leader of the Maryland Performance Excellence Award Board of Examiners; past member of the National Society for Experiential Education Board; contributing editor for assessment components of the CAS Standards on Service Learning; member of the Association for Institutional Research, and the Association for Educational Research and Analysis; and member of the Voluntary System of Accountability Technical Work Group on Student Learning Outcomes. She came to Morgan from Towson University, where she was Assistant Vice President for Assessment and Institutional Research. In addition to her administrative experience, she has taught English, Business Writing, Computer Literacy and Research Methods at the college and university level for more than fifteen years.
