From the Chair . . .

Welcome to the Web page of the Morgan State University Department of Communication Studies.  We are a department with a history of focusing our efforts on giving our students high quality learning experiences in both the classroom and in the field.  A part of the College of Liberal Arts, the Department of Communication Studies provides its majors with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve in a complex, rapidly changing and competitive communication environment.

The academic programs you will find described here are staffed by award winning faculty who are experts in their fields.  They are eager to see their students achieve the highest standards as students while they are here and as professionals after they have graduated.

Our facilities are equipped with some of the latest technologies so our students learn on and gain hands-on experience with the tools used by industry professionals.  Students are also presented with the opportunity to add to their experiences through participation in a variety of co-curricular activities and organizations.
