Degree Programs

The College of Liberal Arts offers fifteen (15) undergraduate degree programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree, the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) Degree, and the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree. Students may find specific requirements for majors in the section for the departments in The College of Liberal Arts in which they are domiciled.

Students may earn the B.A. Degree in the following majors: Broadcast and Integrated Media Production (BROA); Economics (ECON); English (ENGL); Fine Art (ART); History (HIST); Journalism (JOUR); Music (MUSC); Philosophy (PHIL); Political Science (POSC); Public Relations, Advertising and Media Sales and Ratings (PRAA); Screenwriting and Animation (SWAN); Sociology (SOCI); Speech Communication (SPCH); and Theatre Arts (THEA).

Students may earn the B.F.A. Degree in Screenwriting and Animation (SWAN).

Students may earn the B.S. Degree in: Broadcast and Integrated Media Production (BROA); Economics (ECON); Journalism (JOUR); Psychology (PSYC); and Public Relations, Advertising and Media Sales (PRAA).

NOTE: Students entering the University beginning in the Fall 2008 semester may not declare a Telecommunications major. The Telecommunications major is being phased out and will cease to be available in 2013.     

MINORS
The College of Liberal Arts offers minors in twenty-one areas:

These minors are excellent liberal education supplements to virtually all majors offered at the University, including those in the sciences, business, engineering and education. Students may find specific requirements for minors in the sections for the departments in which they are domiciled, or, for interdisciplinary minors, in the University catalog.
