
Morgan State University Board of Regents
Morgan State University is governed by the Board of Regents, a 15 member board, as established under Title 14 of the Education Article, Annotated Code of Maryland. The Governor of Maryland appoints Board members for six-year terms, except for the student regent who is appointed for a one-year term. The Board appoints the University President, who serves at the pleasure of the Board. The Board also sets admission standards, review and approves university policies, budgets, and establishes the regulatory framework within which the individual units operate.

The meeting agenda for the Morgan State University’s Board of Regent Retreat has been amended. The meeting and Annual Retreat will now take place ONLY on Thursday, June 6, 2013 on Morgan State University's campus at 5299 Perring Parkway, Morgan State University Campus, Baltimore, Maryland 21239 in the Center for Built Environment and Infrastructure Studies (CBEIS, first floor Jury Room). The Board will convene in public session on Thursday, June 6th at 9:30 a.m. and, at some point during the morning, it is anticipated that the meeting will reconvene in closed session. After the Closed Session, the Board is expected to reconvene in Public Session around 1:45 p.m. The Board is expected to conclude their meeting around 4:30 PM.
