General Admissions Requirements
First Time Freshmen
· 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA), and
· 850 SAT (Combined critical reading and math), or
· 17 ACT (Composite Score)
G.E.D. Applicants
· G.E.D. recipients must earn a score of 410 on each section of the high school equivalency examination and at least a total score of 2250.

Waived Application Fees.
The university will waive the application fee for high school seniors who are National Merit, National Achievement, or National Hispanic finalist or semifinalist, and Maryland Distinguished Scholar finalist, semifinalist or honorable mention recipients. We honor fee waivers granted by The College Board, American College Testing program, College Bound and the National Association for College Admission Counseling. Please attach a copy of your fee waiver to the application. If you received any of the awards or fee waivers listed above you are not required to submit an application fee. If we are unable to verify your award or waiver you will be billed.

NOTE: All online applications submitted to the University require a $35.00 non-refundable application fee payable by credit or debit card. Paper (hard copy) applications submitted to the University require a $45 non-refundable application fee payable by money order, personal check, or cashier’s check.
