New Students

Dear Morgan Student,

The University Health Center (UHC) staff and I welcome you to the 2011-2012 academic year! At the UHC, your health care is our primary concern. We know that your educational experience at Morgan State University (MSU) will be better if you are physically and mentally well.

Once again, MSU has partnered with Aetna Student Health to provide limited medical coverage for full-time undergraduate students (i.e., students pursuing 12 or more credits per semester. The cost for this service is included in your tuition and fees. Part-time undergraduates and graduate students may also participate in this plan for an additional fee.

The UHC is your primary health care provider while you are enrolled at MSU.
Visit our clinic before you go to any other doctor (unless it's an emergency). You pay nothing for the services we provide. We will also provide you with referrals for specified services that are not available in our clinic. Through the use of Aetna's network of preferred providers, our goal is to limit your out-of-pocket expenses.

The Affordable Care Act allows you to remain on your parent's health insurance plan up to age 26. If you are covered by health insurance through another plan, download and complete the waiver form on our website to decline Aetna student insurance.

If you have any questions regarding student health insurance, please call us on (443) 885-3236.

Sincerely,

Dr. Ruth Agwuna, Medical Director
