Veteran Services
Morgan is not only Veteran-friendly (meaning we actively seek out and encourage Veterans to apply), but we also want to build our reputation as a place where Veterans, and their academic and social needs are taken care of. As part of our on-going initiatives to provide a well rounded benefit for Veteran Students our future goals are to Develop a on-campus Veteran Club, create and environment of sensitivity and understanding of veterans needs, publicize veterans resources, and develop a central on-campus work-study office.
Some of the endeavors that we have currently implemented specifically for Veteran Students on campus include:
•Veteran's Appreciation Night
Designed to welcome student veterans and their family members to campus. Generally held twice a semester as a meet and greet.
•Veterans Orientation Day
Including tours of all relevant campus services
•Scholarship Program
Identify funding and administer scholarship program for disabled veterans and their families
•Town Hall Meetings
Specifically for student veterans and their family members; to notify veterans twice a semester of important University information
•Distance Learning/Distance Education
