The Morgan State University Choir returned home to Baltimore on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from a ten-day, five-concert tour of China that took the group to four cities. The choir performed first in Beijing, on the evening of June 8th in a collaborative concert with the Beijing Wuzi University Choir. From there, the world renowned Morgan choir traveled to Tianjin for a concert in the city's premier music hall to an even more enthusiastic crowd. Next was the Choir's participation in the Qujiang Xi'an International Youth Festival in the brand new Xi'an Concert Hall. The festival's closing ceremony was held the following day in an outdoor venue on Purple Cloud Mountain.

The choir's final day in China was especially thrilling for the students who had the opportunity to sing at a World's Fair - the Shanghai World Expo. The MSU choir was featured in performance twice at the American Pavilion, representing the United States in song. "It was the perfect way to end a very memorable experience in China for our students," says choir director Eric Conway.
