Friendly Reminders

The University will hold a Retirement and Service Awards Program again this year.  The program is scheduled for Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Calvin and Tina Tyler Ballroom of the University Student Center. 

Please mark your calendar and hold this date as a time to commemorate a number of the University’s dedicated honorees and remarkable retirees.

Did You Know?

Escort Services
The Morgan State University Police and Public Safety Department has hired six (6) student escorts who will be providing escort services, either by foot or vehicle, to the MSU campus community to on-campus locations as well as Morgan View Apartments, Marble Hall Gardens and Portage Avenue.  The escorts will be working throughout our campus and community.  Please help us welcome the following students into our Morgan family.

Working Fund Checks
Over the weekend of September 17, 2011, all the Wachovia Bank branches in Maryland and Washington D.C. will be converted to Wells Fargo Bank branches.  The University's Working Fund checks (payroll advance, travel advance, etc) are processed through Wachovia Bank. Since Wachovia Bank is a Wells Fargo Company, the University's Working Fund checks will be accepted at all Wells Fargo Bank and out-of-state Wachovia Bank branches without any check cashing fees.

Refunds
Refunds processed on or before 8/30/11 are now available for pick up at the Cashiering window in the Bursar's Office.


Welcome Aboard

The Morgan State University Police and Public Safety Department is pleased to announce that three (3) of our police recruits have graduated from the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission Police Academy.  The newly sworn officers are A. Smith from Long Island, NY, D. Lewis from Queens, NY, and O. Villodas from Puerto Rico, U.S. Territory.  The officers have will join the campus police officer ranks and will undergo a six-week field training and campus orientation program.  Please welcome these new police officers to the Morgan family.
